Candidates who have pursued a regular course of study in the 1st year and having a backlog of four papers are eligible for promotion to 2nd year. In other words candidates should not have more than 50% backlog papers in the 1st year to be eligible for promotion to 2nd year.

In other words candidates should not have more than four backlog papers in the 1st year and the 2nd d year put together to be eligible for promotion to 3rd year.
